AWS has introduced a new billing capability that changes how you manage your cloud environment when working with a reseller like Noventiq. Here is what it means for you.
If your organization uses AWS through a reseller, you may have noticed that the billing arrangement came with some strings attached. In the traditional model, your reseller had to be part of your AWS Organization to manage billing on your behalf - which meant they also held a degree of administrative access to your environment.
The AWS management account - the one responsible for billing - also controls organization-wide governance settings: things like service control policies, AWS Control Tower, and GuardDuty configurations. Having your reseller sit inside that structure could limit your ability to manage your own environment independently, and made it harder to get a clean, accurate view of your AWS costs in tools like Cost Explorer.
In short: billing and governance were tied together in a way that was not ideal for customers who wanted full ownership of their cloud environment.
AWS Billing Transfer is a new capability within AWS Billing and Cost Management. It separates the billing relationship from account governance - so Noventiq can manage your billing without needing to be inside your AWS Organization at all.
Your AWS environment stays entirely yours. You retain full administrative control - your own service control policies, your own landing zone configurations, your own security tooling. Noventiq handles billing separately, from our own setup, without any privileged access to your environment.
This gives you two things that were not possible before:
For your organization, AWS Billing Transfer delivers practical improvements across three areas:
You can configure your own governance policies, security tools, and multi-account settings without any dependency on your reseller's account structure. For organizations with compliance requirements - whether regulatory, sectoral, or internal - this clean separation is a meaningful improvement.
Previously, the way reseller billing worked meant that cost data visible in AWS Cost Explorer did not accurately reflect what you were actually being charged. With Billing Transfer, your Cost Explorer view reflects your real rates - so your cloud cost reporting becomes genuinely useful for budgeting, forecasting, and optimization decisions.
Your relationship with Noventiq becomes straightforwardly commercial - billing, support, and advisory - without the technical entanglement that came with shared account structures. You get the commercial benefits of working with an AWS Premier Tier Partner, without any compromise on your administrative sovereignty.
As an AWS Premier Tier Services Partner operating across Europe and MENA, Noventiq combines regional depth with hands-on technical capability. Here is what that means for you as a customer:
Billing Transfer does not yet cover every scenario. Two areas currently fall outside its scope:
If either of these applies to part of your AWS footprint, your Noventiq account manager can advise on how your billing is handled in those cases. We will keep you informed as AWS extends Billing Transfer support over time.
Whether you are already an AWS customer looking to simplify your billing setup, or evaluating AWS for the first time, moving to a Billing Transfer model with Noventiq is a straightforward process:
AWS Billing Transfer gives you something straightforward: your AWS environment, fully yours. You keep complete control over how your cloud is governed and configured, with accurate cost visibility and a cleaner commercial relationship with your reseller.
For Noventiq customers across the globe, this is another step in how we make AWS work better for you - with the expertise, reach, and commercial flexibility to support your cloud journey at every stage.
