AWS named a Leader in the 2026 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Desktop as a Service and the 2026 IDC MarketScape, giving customers who are rethinking on-premises VDI a clearer, lower-risk path to cloud desktops.
As a trusted partner to our Noventiq customers in the cloud domain, we are committed to helping them move away from the cost and complexity of ageing desktop infrastructure and towards something simpler, more secure and easier to control. So when two independent analyst houses reach the same conclusion about the platform we build on, it is worth sharing why it matters.
Amazon Web Services has been recognized as a Leader in the 2026 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Desktop as a Service, its third consecutive year in that position, and as a Leader in the 2026 IDC MarketScape for Desktop as a Service and Virtual Client Computing. In the IDC assessment, AWS advanced from Major Player to Leader, which tells you this is momentum rather than a single moment.
The two reports are scored differently, and that is what makes the agreement meaningful. Gartner evaluated vendors on Completeness of Vision and Ability to Execute, so a Leader has to be both credible about where the market is going and capable of delivering today. IDC looked at strategy and capabilities across Desktop as a Service and the wider Virtual Client Computing category. Two methodologies, two research teams, one consistent signal. For a customer building a shortlist, that convergence takes real risk out of the platform decision.
The service behind the recognition is Amazon WorkSpaces, which delivers secure, fully managed cloud desktops and application streaming on Windows and Linux, for people and increasingly for AI agents, from any device and anywhere, without the infrastructure overhead. That last point is the one our customers feel most: no more sizing an estate for peak demand and paying for idle hardware the rest of the year, no more endless refresh cycles, and no more concentrating operational risk in brokers, images and gateways your own team has to nurse.

Being named a Leader tells you the platform is strong. It does not, on its own, tell you how to migrate a large VDI estate without disrupting the business, how to right-size for cost, or how to keep security and compliance teams comfortable throughout. That is exactly the gap we fill as an AWS partner: assessment and business case, wave-by-wave migration and image standardisation, security and data residency built in from the start, and an ongoing managed service once you are live. The analyst recognition de-risks the platform choice; our job is to de-risk the journey.
